项目介绍：2010年3月我校与北卡罗来纳州立大学签订协议，于每年暑假在工程、物理、生物、环境等学科合作开展暑期研究实践项目。参加项目的学生到美国北卡罗来纳州立大学相关专业实验室，在老师指导下进行研究与实践工作。2010年首批学生成行。

学校简介：北卡罗来纳州立大学（North Carolina State University）成立于1887年，与北卡大学教堂山分校以及杜克大学是北卡科研三角区的三所支柱院校。北卡罗来纳州立大学拥有超过500项的技术专利，在专利技术力量上排名全美第3位；学校来自产业界的研究资助，排名全美第7位；在公立研究型大学中，非政府资助研究经费，排名全美第12位。在2015年《美国新闻与世界报道》美国综合大学排名中名列第89位。

1.报名条件：

(1)我校全日制本科三年级学生，大学二年级相当优秀者也可考虑；

(2)就读项目网站所列研究实践项目相关专业:

Some Departments that the students research with(but not limited to): Electrical and Computer Engineering、Computer Science、Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering、Mathematics、Psychology；

(3)托福80分（单项不低于20）或雅思6.5分；

(4)在校所学课程成绩良好；

(5)具有相关项目工作经验者优先。

2.时间安排（具体时间以当年报名通知为准）：

(1)每年12月初到第二年2月末报名；

(2)第二年暑假在美国做研究。

3.项目费用（具体数额以境外高校当年公布为准）：

(1)约3,700美元（含项目费、食宿费）；

(2)国际旅费。

4.报名方法及时间安排：

(1)参加项目的同学需登录本科生国际交流项目管理系统进行报名；

(2)参加项目的同学需在管理系统中生成“学生短期境外学习或活动备案表”，由学院教学院长和专业责任教授签字后在系统中上传PDF版；

(3)准备以下项目申请材料并扫描成电子版上传到报名系统：

①本人护照首页；

②Resume in English (one page)；

③Academic Records in English；

④Proof of English Proficiency；

⑤Personal Statement (two page limit). Please indicate your research interest, explain why you have chosen a particular field of research and demonstrate your academic background related to the chosen research area, list extracurricular actives and any leadership or volunteer experiences. In this statement do not list the names of faculty you wish to study under；

⑥报名回执（见附件二），做成PDF文件在“个人主页-我的项目-提交其他材料-其他材料”选项中上传；

注意：在报名回执中List TWO faculty from the pre-approved list that match your research interests；

NOTE：NCSU do not allow applicants to contact faculty directly in the beginning. Anyone who breaks the rule will be eliminated from the program automatically. Once students are accepted and the Program Coordinator has opened communication, then students can contact faculty.
